JENNIFER GILBERT
Founder and Chief Visionary Officer, Save The Date
Jennifer Gilbert is Founder and Chief Visionary Officer of New York based special events company Save the Date. Her 16-year old company is recognized by the media and a discerning clientele as “The One Stop Shop” for event planning, and occupies a unique niche in the New York market where thousands of restaurants and event spaces vie for the same business. Save The Date has flipped the traditional event planning business model offering a significant savings to clients looking for that “perfect venue,” as the company is supported by the vendors who feel confident of its referral business.
Save the Date has expanded its services over the past seven years to include production, design and consulting, which now contributes to half the company’s income. Save The Date has become the outsourced ‘in house’ planning and marketing department for many companies and organizations using the expertise of Gilbert’s team for a fee considerably less than an internal employee. Save the date has been retained by clients such as the Bill Gates Foundation, NewsCorp, Citigroup, Oprah Winfrey, ABC Television and the YMCA.
Jennifer Gilbert’s name and that of Save the Date commands instant recognition and immediate respect and is seen as the expert on all aspects of event planning. Jennifer was awarded “Entrepreneur of the Year”, has been awarded “Working Woman Magazine’s” award of excellence and has appeared on their Top 500 List.
